Scotsburn Ice Cream Company, a leading manufacturer of ice cream and novelties in Canada, requires a Warehouse Supervisor (day shift, Monday through Friday) at its facility located in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, responsibilities will include:

Providing leadership, direction and coaching to warehouse team.
Effectively scheduling warehouse team to achieve efficiencies within the warehouse.
Supervising the assembling and loading of orders in the most efficient and accurate manner.
Supervising the unloading of delivery vehicle returns.
Supervising the shipping and receiving of all products from/to other facilities with utmost accuracy.
Servicing customers and responding to customer enquiries during the shift.
Completing the necessary computerized invoices and shipping/receiving documents for both customer orders and interbranch shipping.
Submitting payroll information.
Implementing and maintaining good health and safety practices.
Interpreting and administering the collective agreement and progressive discipline policies.
Ensuring all established GMP’s, quality and HACCP principles are adhered to.
General housekeeping, sanitation and maintenance of the dry storage, fridge, freezer, loading dock area and forklifts.

Qualifications required:

Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse / production facility.
Warehouse/loading dock experience.
Familiar with the operation of forklifts.
Supervisory experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership skills and the ability to work in a team.
Post secondary education considered an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
