Technical Sales Engineer – PhotoSat – Vancouver, BC

PhotoSat, provider of the world’s most accurate satellite topographic surveying has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Engineer to work from our Vancouver office.

The successful candidate will have an Engineering or Geophysics degree or related field.  He or she will be able to demonstrate that they are mature, enthusiastic and self motivated and that they have a customer service interest, very strong work ethic and the aptitude for a career in technology sales. They must be superb communicators and have the ability to understand a customer’s technical needs and applications and relate those needs to our products. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a strong desire to learn, have excellent organizational and time management skills and a winning attitude.

This is a business development focussed position involving lead generation, presentations, and frequent client interaction through email, phone calls, and in-person meetings.

PhotoSat’s clients are Exploration Geophysicists, Geologists, Geotechs, Surveyors, Civil Engineers, Mining Engineers and Managers of Oil and Gas and Mining companies throughout the world. PhotoSat’s unique process creates engineering grade topographic surveying using satellite images.

Some international and domestic travel will be required.

Knowledge of surveying and recent experience in oil and gas or mining would be an asset. The successful candidate should be able to show that they have operated independently in a technically challenging environment – delivering value to customers and managing multiple complex sales and support situations.
