Sales Rep – Environmental Products / Services – Green Shift – Toronto, Ontario

We started as a consulting company but we turned the consulting toward manufacturers and created a movement to help make it easy and cost effective for business to be environmentally responsible. This resulted in a high integrity boutique distribution company that was the first company in Canada to introduce biodegradable packaging. We only supply the best of category products but these products go layers beneath the surface, as we use our environmental knowledge, our well respected industry reputation, and the growing purchasing dollars from like minded business, to leverage important social, environmental and ethical business practices.

With a strong focus on getting styrofoam off of the market, we work with a lot of food and hospitality businesses and institutions in particular, but we service well beyond that, as our main focus is helping businesses to green from top to bottom.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing and confident, and has a good general knowledge base of environmental issues, to help grow sales and awareness within our existing clientele and with new businesses. We are fortunate to have a strong loyal following and a fantastic network of environmental leaders, but there are many companies where we have not had the time, or enough people with the expertise, to fully develop and maximize opportunities.

This person will need to communicate with all levels of business in a manner that makes people understand the importance of the issues. Of utmost importance is to then have the skill to make people care and take action.

Requirements include:

Excellent written & verbal English communication skills are an absolute must.
General worldly knowledge, Maturity level (and judgment ability) capable of dealing with different types of clientele and understanding broad social, environmental and business issues.
Previous experience with business to business sales would be an asset but we are willing to consider someone that would be a “natural” with no previous sales experience.

Full Time, Mon – Fri, Base Salary + Commission
