Equipment Operators (Seasonal)

The City seeks Equipment Operators to operate all rubber-tired front end loaders; snowplows and other related equipment and other related duties as required. Applicants will work the winter months and be eligible for recall in the summer season.

Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) years heavy equipment operator experience (including tandem and loader); Class 3 Driver’s License with 08 and 09 endorsements; a good safety record; and high school graduation. Completion of a provincially registered apprentice Heavy Equipment Operator Training program is considered an asset.

All applicants must provide safety training certificates with your application. Successful applicants will have to provide a current driver’s abstract and certificate of conduct.

Winter shift is Monday-Friday, day and night shifts with overtime provisions for the off times. The hourly rate of pay is $26.58 plus 6% vacation pay.
