Casual Parks Maintenance Worker – City of Port Coquitlam – Port Coquitlam, BC

The City of Port Coquitlam is currently seeking energetic individuals for seasonal opportunities within the Parks & Services Division as Casual Parks Maintenance Workers to perform a diverse range of labour related duties in turf maintenance, horticulture, park maintenance, janitorial, urban forestry, trail maintenance and cemetery operations. The requirements for this position are:

Completion of the 10th school grade
One year’s experience within the past five years in general parks operations and maintenance tasks or successful completion of a certificate program at a recognized educational institution in horticulture or parks related program.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s license for the Province of British Columbia

The current rate for these seasonal CUPE positions is $27.69 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits, vacations and statutory holidays.  The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement.
