Applications are invited for Casual Recreation Worker 5’s in the Recreation, Culture & Community Services Department at the City of Langley.  We are looking for enthusiastic substitute fitness instructors for a variety of fitness classes including: Yoga, Pilates, Osteofit Circuit Training.  The successful candidate will design and instruct safe, effective and appropriate fitness programs to meet the needs of different demographics and programs. Fitness classes will be developed to promote safety, fun, enthusiasm, strength and a healthy lifestyle.

RATES OF PAY:         Recreation Worker 5:  $24.74- $28.87

HOURS OF WORK:   Up to 35 hours per week; Monday to Sunday.
*Hours of work will depend on operational needs.

Casual employees are paid 12% of their regular earnings in lieu of benefits and paid annual vacation.

Applicants should have strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.  BCRPA Group Fitness Certification and current First Aid Certification are required.  BCRPA or equivalent Certification in Yoga, Pilates, Osteofit, 3rd Age, Group Weight Training, or Personal Training is desired.  Details of the position and requirements can be found in the job description at the following link:  www.city.langley.bc.ca
