The District of Ucluelet, situated on the edge of Vancouver Island’s beautiful west coast, is offering a unique opportunity for a qualified individual interested in fulfilling the role of Manager of Planning for the District of Ucluelet. This is an extremely exciting position requiring someone who will build upon our award winning planning success.
The preferred candidate will be a highly motivated person having demonstrated:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Considerable knowledge and experience with modern planning principles
- Knowledge of municipal legislation and planning practices and procedures
- Supervisory experience
Preference will be granted to candidates having Full membership in the Planning Institute of British Columbia and Canadian Institute of Planners; Five (5) years municipal planning experience combined with a Degree in a relevant field; shall possess exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills; must have knowledge of the BC Community Charter, local government bylaws and procedures related to planning.
