The Department of Education and Early Childhood is seeking two individuals to join the Human Resources Branch as Human Resources Advisors with the Labour Relations unit in Fredericton.
As a member of the Human Resources Branch and reporting to the Manager of Labour Relations, the successful candidates will work closely with the Department and the school districts in providing advice and guidance on all aspects of labour relations matters and will ensure the consistent application of Human Resources policies and collective agreements.
The successful candidates will provide professional services, advice and assistance in the development, coordination, promotion and implementation of Human Resources Management services and programs. This encompasses the observation and analysis of current services and practices, as well as research leading to the formulation of modifications or new approaches, and coordinating their implementation. Key responsibilities include participation in labour relations activities such as collective agreement interpretation and assistance at negotiations, administration of collective agreements under Part II of the public service, assist in advice and mediation of grievances and activities / investigations related to the field of Human Rights and Workplace Harassment Policy.
On occasion, some travel throughout the province may be required.
Essential Qualifications:
Pay Band 4: University degree and a minimum of four (4) years of related human resources experience; OR a two (2) year post-secondary diploma and a minimum of six (6) years of related human resources experience.
Pay Band 5: University degree and a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible related human resources experience; OR a two (2) years post-secondary diploma and a minimum of seven (7) years progressively responsible related human resources experience.
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability on your application.

Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate one or more of the following asset qualifications:
A recognized Human Resources concentration, diploma or certificate;
Knowledge of human resources related governmental legislations, policies, and procedures;
CHRP designation (Certified Human Resources Professional).

Salary:
PB 4: $46,540 to $65,000 per annum
PB 5: $ 53,274 to $74 360 per annum
