The City of Port Coquitlam is currently accepting applications from enthusiastic, energetic and qualified individuals who are interested in a casual Customer Service Attendant role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has outstanding customer service skills, enjoys working with a diverse group of people, embraces change and challenges.
This customer service and reception work is performed within the City’s Recreation Department and facilities. An incumbent performs front line customer service including but not limited to providing information to the public, program registration, bookings, sales and promotional assistance. Employees in this class process payments, including but not limited to collecting revenues for program registrations, admissions, pass sales and other revenues. This position will be required to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
Requirements for this position are:
Customer Service Training Course(s) (equivalent to 30 hours)
Basic Bookkeeping course (minimum 16 hours) or accounting level 1
Minimum one year related experience in a front line customer service role, including experience in retail transactions.
