This position reports to the Master.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting ship engineer officers in performing routine maintenance work and repair to ship’s engine, machinery and auxiliary equipment. Monitor engine, machinery and equipment indicators, record variables and report abnormalities to ship engineer officer on watch. Lubricate moving parts of engines, machinery and auxiliary equipment. Clean engine parts and keep engine room clean. Assist in general deck duties such as tying up the ship, operating the crane and cleaning and disinfecting.

Standard First Aid and CPR
Transport Canada Marine Medical
WHMIS
Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate (TDG)
Valid Passport
(2) years’ experience in a relevant field (or a combination of experience and training) and a valid passport with the ability to enter the United States are requirements for this position.
Preference will be given to applicants with aquaculture experience.
