Point Tupper, Nova Scotia – Some Travel Required
Responsibilities: As the successful candidate(s) you will be required to engage in all aspects of petroleum movements associated with loading and discharging of vessels that will be nominated to us by our customers both clean and black oil cargoes. Candidates will have full knowledge of vessel and shore reporting and can successfully deliver a full report upon completion of cargo operations. You will be working with terminal operations, expeditors, vessel personnel and agents to ensure a successful operation. Candidates will also be required to train junior inspectors for all aspects of gauging and sampling adhering to API procedures. Must be available to answer and respond to after hour requirements (24 hours/day when on call) Perform other duties as required. Candidates will also have a good knowledge to the receipt, storage, shipment, blending and treatment of petroleum products making reference to crude oil, gasoline, fuel oil and refined products via ocean going tankers and barges.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent will be required. Post-secondary degree; experience in lieu of educational requirements will be considered. Minimum 3 years of related experience required. Must have strong math skills. Requires strong computer skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
