We are seeking an experienced Production Technician to join our growing Operations team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, this production line position is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of equipment according to established Standard Operating Procedures and Production Records for the manufacture of natural health products in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s).
This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, documenting all actions accurately and in a timely manner, combined with the ability to work co-operatively with other staff members including those in Quality Assurance / Quality Control and Warehousing.
Required skills and experience:
Minimum 1 year of production experience in the natural health product, pharmaceutical or food industry is preferred
Direct experience with processing and packaging equipment is preferred
Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent education is required
Strong attention to detail and above average organizational skills
Ability to effectively multi-task and troubleshoot
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Mechanically inclined
Functional computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required
High physical strength and fitness. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive motions is required
Aptitude in general mathematics
Excellent communication skills (English) both verbal and written
Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts (days / evenings)
