Turf Department – Position Script
Short Term Seasonal Groundskeepers

Duties:
Includes, but not exclusive of,

Bunker Maintenance (Raking, String Trimming, Debris Removal);
Mowing Greens, Tees, Collars & Approaches;
Divot Filling;
Blocks and Divots;
Mulching;
Leaf Blowing;
Miscellaneous Horticultural Duties (weeding, edging, string trimming, watering as well as rotary mower operation and deadheading).

Health and Safety:
WHMIS: Mandatory, required for employment, will be provided by ClubLink Corporation should you be hired;
Equipment Training Acknowledgement: ALL Equipment Training is provided, Employees are expected to acknowledge they have been adequately trained on Equipment;
Policy Violations: Reckless behaviour will not be tolerated.

Schedule:
Hours: Sunrise (changes, but no earlier than 5:30 am) to 11:30 am or 6 hours/per day;
Days: Monday to Friday, and every other Weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 5:30 am to completion of assigned task(s), typically 3 – 4 hours);
Weather & Frost: Inclement weather and/or frost may necessitate minor revisions to the above schedule.
Additional hours may be offered during Capital Projects.

Wage: $11.25/ Hour; with the potential to earn more based on performance and retention.

Start Date:
Completion of academic year, typically after April 15, may depend on weather and course conditions.

End Date:
Employees are expected to work until Labour Day.

Uniform:
Consists of 3 Golf Shirts, one Fleece Sweater and/or Rain suit, and the use of a Helmet (Mandatory Safety Equipment), Green Patch Safety Shoes or Boots are also required, they are to be purchased prior to first scheduled shift and MUST be worn in order to work.

Golf Privileges:
Are extended to all employees with impeccable performance and attendance records, who are capable of passing a Golf Test administered by the Golf Department, all employees are expected to demonstrate exemplary etiquette on the golf course. Golf frequency is to be determined by the demands of Member and Guest play on the Tee Sheet.
