Scotsburn Ice Cream Company, a leading manufacturer of ice cream and frozen novelties in Canada, is accepting applications for general production positions (temporary call-in) for the ice cream plant, located in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
This is a fast-paced environment in a food processing plant. The ideal candidates will possess the following experience/qualifications:
Packaging product;
Supply packaging materials to production floor;
General housekeeping duties;
Good hand and eye co-ordination;
Ability to work shift work, weekends and overtime;
Ability to effectively communicate and work well with others;
A strong commitment to occupational health and safety standards and procedures;
Previous experience in a food processing plant will be considered an asset;
Mechanical aptitude considered an asset;
Possess a minimum Grade 12 or equivalent education.
The hours of work are based on production needs and availability of work. Successful candidates would be subject to daily re-call based on seniority and availability of work.
