Since 2005, Community Living British Columbia (CLBC) has been helping individuals with developmental disabilities and their families live “good lives in welcoming communities.” CLBC originated from a grassroots movement led by families and self-advocates who wanted a government-funded organization to focus on their unique needs. Today, mandated under the Community Living Authority Act and subject to government policy, and reporting to the Minister of Social Development and Social Innovation through a dedicated Board of Directors, CLBC provides over 17,000 eligible adults with individualized programs and services ranging from residential care and respite, to employment and skill development. Its mandate is not only to build inclusion and provide quality opportunities to individuals and families, but to help create communities in which people with developmental disabilities have more choices about how they live, work, and contribute.
The Vice President Corporate Services leads the development and implementation of effective systems, processes, policies and procedures related to information technology, human resources, facilities, privacy and administrative supports to ensure effective operations.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP, Corporate Services provides direction, plans, prioritizes, recommends policy and oversees the development and execution of corporate operating and internal service standards. This role provides strategic advice to the Chief Executive Officer, the Board of Directors, and other members of the senior management team to drive related strategic objectives.
This is an exciting role for a progressive leader who wants to make a difference in the lives of others.
