Our confidential client is a leading infrastructure company whose core businesses include engineering, building, installing, maintaining and upgrading energy and civil infrastructure in North America. They are seeking a VP of Business Development whose main area of focus will be developing it’s rapidly growing oil and gas services business.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, strategic oversight, management and an innovative vision to build and strengthen current relationships while developing new ones.
As a key member of the executive team that sets the company’s strategic direction this role will lead and shape the company’s diversification strategy and plan.
Manage the multi-disciplinary business development team with 6 direct reports
Utilize trade shows, conferences and association meetings to build new relationships & opportunities. Spearhead growth in specific geographical areas.
Qualifications:
15 years or more of executive level business development experience with 7 years experience selling to the C-suite within the oil/gas industry.
Industry related post secondary degree with an MBA or otherprofessional designations.
Ability to travel extensively in North America. Valid passport required.
Strong industry network in the executive and project/supply management circles.
Strong customer service values & beliefs.
Understanding of civil, concrete and industrial construction and the ability to sell these services.
Excellent negotiator with a strong track record of successfully developing business in the U.S.
Has the personality of a dynamic self starter with an impeccable reputation as an expert strategist, visionary marketer and leader.
