Technical Product Manager – Mama Earth Organics – Toronto

The Role and responsibilities:
The Technical Product Manager will lead the ongoing development and support of our website, CMS, apps and online campaigns. Your key duties and responsibilities are:

Prepare detailed business and technical requirement scope documents for website features, internal tech projects and digital campaigns
Lead the development and rollout of new website capabilities and content
Direct the efforts of a team of Web Developers/Designers in an Agile environment while making sure maintainability, development specs and technical standards are being met
Have a hands-on approach to contribute to the development of features and functionality
Own the development roadmaps for future website updates and performance improvements
Plan and implement ongoing Quality Assurance processes
Strong analytical skills to identify areas of improvement and drive the implementation of new workflows to improve processes
Provide support services for internal staff by coordinating with our development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Communicate regular updates to internal teams
Develop an instruction manual and training procedures for our proprietary Content Management System
Balance simultaneous projects and appropriately prioritize tasks
Implement and enforce standards for page speed, code quality, on-page SEO, and other underlying fundamentals

Requirements:
The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by competing priorities. Maturity, high judgment, analytical talent and leadership are essential for success in this role.
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field or Diploma in Web Development or a related field
3+ years management experience with web or app development
Proficiency with Content Management Systems and system design
Experience in managing projects through the full life cycle including planning (strategy, documentation) through to execution (design/UX oversight, development, launch planning).
Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
Solid understanding of web development in relation to online marketing strategies
Experience performing A/B and multivariate testing
Working knowledge of marketing email standards and tools such as MailChimp and SendGrid, and how they relate to web development
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice to have:
Experience coding e-commerce websites and web applications using one or more of the following: HTML5, CSS, ASP, JavaScript, and SQL database
Design skills and proficiency using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
