The District of Saanich is seeking Team Leaders to provide direction and support to lifeguard staff at Gordon Head Recreation Centre. The successful incumbents will ensure that on duty staff are working effectively, the program is operating safely, and the facility is properly prepared for the enjoyment and satisfaction of all patrons. The Team Leader will be the lead hand in the event of any emergency situation. Requirements include completion of Grade 12; current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) Certification (Pool Option); current Canadian Red Cross Water Safety (Learn to Swim) Instructor Certification; minimum two years lifeguarding and teaching experience; current CPR Certification – Level C; current Standard First Aid; OFA Level 1 as required and satisfactory police information check. The successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends and nights.
