Your main duties include:
Supporting the learner with their educational programming as well as with any needs related to their feeding, toileting, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene care
Delivering/adapting/creating some learning activities, as related to the learner’s interests and DL supports
Implementing recommendations from SLP, OT, PT, TSVI
The skills
and qualities that we are looking for in the S.E.A. include someone who is attentive, patient, experienced, and that can make learning fun! Having a knowledge of or experience in delivering Early Childhood programming is an asset. HOHL is looking to work with someone who is responsive, timely, and has strong communication skills. You will be asked to provide Weekly Learning Samples and to answer educationally relevant questions on a weekly basis (HOHL will provide the questions, and will support you in submitting work samples that are of good quality), along with your weekly invoice of hours.

Hours: The family is looking for support for approximately 4 hours per week
Wage: Typically between 15-20$/hour. If you hold a B.C. Teaching Certificate (current) or a Diploma/ Degree in Special Education, etc. the rate may be between 15-25$/hour. HOHL will provide you with our pay scale should you be considered for the position
Commitment:
This position would ideally be for the remainder of the school-year, and if the family & HOHL are in agreement, positions can continue school year-to-year where possible & desired.
