About RSBC:
It started with a swim…The Rivershed Society of British Columbia (RSBC) formed in the wake of Fin Donnelly`s 1995 ‘Swim for Life’ – a 1,375 km three-week swim down the entire length of the Fraser River.
RSBC is a non-profit charity dedicated to improving the health and resiliency of the Fraser River, and its 34 riversheds. Since 1996, RSBC has been developing leaders through education programs and community events, and building stewardship capacity in the Fraser Watershed.

The Fraser Watershed is the most resilient watershed on the planet, with salmon, people and economies flourishing in rivershed communities.
Our Mission: Conserve, protect and restore the Fraser’s 34 riversheds

What you’ll be doing:
Developing and implementing a social media schedule for the rest of 2020.
Developing materials for sharing on social media platforms, through email communications, and other modes of virtual engagement.
Work with the RSBC team to expand our network and reach new audiences.
Work with the RSBC team to develop engaging and educational materials, to inform our communities about the Fraser Watershed.
Stay on top of recent news and information to share with our networks, while engaging with other organizations virtually.
Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:
You are a social media wizard and can bring that excitement to the RSBC team.
You have advanced communication skills, written and verbal.
You know how to research, and fact check to ensure the content we are sharing is high quality and informative.
You can balance working remotely and working in an virtual team setting.
You have some creative ideas for how to engage people online, and perhaps have some other techy skills to bring to the team!
You are organized and dependable.
This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs, therefore applicants must:
be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment*
be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; and,
have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
