Role Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the delivery of quality services while providing leadership as a key member of the senior management team. In addition to overseeing all aspects of an assigned division of community-based residential supports, the Senior Director is responsible for respite coordination, admissions, and agency oversight in the absence of the Executive Director. This position requires the successful candidate to be highly motivated, flexible and committed to service quality through ongoing personal and professional learning. The successful candidate will ensure RRSS policies and procedures are implemented according to agency values and mission statement.
Qualifications:
Completion of advanced degree, preferably a Master’s degree.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive senior management experience.
Experience providing support to persons with disabilities and advocating for social inclusion.
Demonstrated leadership, coaching, team building, staff training and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
Proven effective communication and advocacy skills and an ability to liaise with key partners including; families, professionals, government departments and other agencies.
The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment with a focus on constant process improvement.
Proven time management, organizational, problem solving skills, perseverance, and critical thinking.
Computer literacy.
Must have the ability to lead a team, to develop and manage departments effectively.
Ability to negotiate and mediate differences.
Sound understanding of the non-profit sector.
Experience working in a non-profit organization is an asset, as well as experience working in a unionized environment.
Willingness to use personal vehicle in the performance of duties.
