Regulatory Director – Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board – Yellowknife

The Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board (MVLWB) plays a primary role in northern economic development and environmental conservation, by regulating land and water use, throughout the Mackenzie Valley of the Northwest Territories.

As the Regulatory Director, you are essential to the operations and integrity of the organization. You will lead a team of highly motivated professionals to process, review and monitor land and water use applications including for major mining, oil and gas, and other industrial operations. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will also participate in strategic, financial and human resource planning and support the continuing development of organizational excellence at the MVLWB.

You have:

dynamic leadership skills
a relevant post-secondary degree, preferably at the graduate level, and significant related experience
a strong regulatory background
exceptional communications, presentation and interpersonal skills
the capacity to build lasting relationships, and
the ability to respond to complex questions and inquiries.

Salary Range: $105,000 – $124,000 plus $17,000 to $24,700 in cash allowances.
