Regional Utilities Lead – City of Lacombe

Reporting to and under the general direction of the Utilities Manager, this position is responsible to oversee the day to day operations of the NRDRWSC (North Red Deer River Water Services Commission) and provide support to the Water & Wastewater Department when available. This position is required to be on call for matters related to the NRDRWSC, sharing the on-call duties with the Utilities Manager.

*Candidates are advised there is the potential of the responsibility for the Regional Wastewater Line to become the responsibility of this role, with duties similar to those of the Regional Water Line.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Grade 12 or GED
Water Treatment Level 1,
Water Distribution Level 2,
Wastewater Treatment Level l,
Wastewater Collection Level 2,
Three (3) years Water and Wastewater experience specific to: service installs and maintenance; operation and maintenance of pump houses, lift stations, blowers and lagoons; and working with third party contractors and supervision of staff.
Alberta Class 3 driver’s license with Q endorsement (preferred), Class 5 minimum.

Salary Range: $63,717 – $79,646 per annum (based on 40 hour work week)
