The Recreation Director, reporting to the Senior Administrative Officer, is responsible for the administration, coordination, management, supervision of department employees and volunteers, in development and delivery of recreation, sports and cultural programs and activities for the community.

The successful candidate is at least a high school graduate, preferably has a diploma/degree in recreation administration or equivalent field, with proven experience working in municipal recreation or similar environment. Ability to speak Inuktitut is a definite asset, as well as able to communicate with a broad range of public groups, local and territorial associations for example.
