Your Responsibilities:
Direct and guide overall assigned recovery operation;
Assess, launch and/or manage CRC domestic recovery operations;
Model, lead, support and provide guidance to the case management supervisors in maintaining strong and positive relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring high quality of client services;
Manage CRC volunteers and staff supporting the operation;
Ensure a strong team dynamic, with relevant personnel wellness, coordination, and safety measures implemented and followed;
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders;
Manage emergency response assets including funds and equipment.
Experience of acting in a senior representational role;

Language – must be able to read, write and deliver services as appropriate to the operation in English or French. Additional languages considered an asset.

Your Education and Experience:
Completion of a University Degree in Disaster Management, Emergency Management, Social Services or community Development and/or an equivalent experience;
Minimum 4-6 years experience in a management position;
Experience in client facing work that includes direct case management;
Experience with the Red Cross and one relief or recovery operation a strong asset;
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining internal and external relationships;
Experience working for non-government organizations in disaster management in Canada is preferred

Working Conditions:
The majority of the work is performed in an environment which is mostly clean and comfortable. Mobile (remote, home or office) worker arrangements will consider the tools, resources and environment required to be effective and productive
Ability to work non-traditional hours is required, including working weekends and evenings occasionally may be required.
