MAIN TASKS :
As part of the projects under its responsibility:
Plan the stages and deadlines for completion.
Carry out certain tasks related to the administrative management associated with projects, in collaboration with the Director General.
Research, compile and process geographic information and integrate it into databases.
Analyze and produce geomatics data.
Produce maps specific to certain projects, and popularization tools.
Support and train members in the use of geomatic data and territorial analysis.
Develop the Municipal approach component: promotion, issues and tools.
Develop new projects in territorial analysis on private land, and write grant applications and service offers.
Represent the organization at meetings or events.
Perform all other related tasks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate university degree in geomatics, environment or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of geographic information systems (QGIS, ArcGIS).
Very good command of office automation (Word, Excel) and familiarity with Access;
Autonomy, sense of planning and organization;
Knowledge of the voluntary conservation sector, an asset;
Excellent writing skills and fluency in written and oral French;
Good command of English, written and spoken, an asset;
This position is eligible for a wage subsidy measure from Emploi-Québec. Being eligible for the grant is an asset (letter of eligibility to be demonstrated).
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Starting date: End of August 2020
Schedule: 35 hours / week, Monday to Friday, except during exceptional events
Hourly rate: from $ 22 / h, depending on experience
Work base: Montreal, Laurier metro (shared telework schedule).
