The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Operations and will be accountable for the overall success of a multitude of projects on both the academic and operational sides of the University.
Duties And Responsibilities:
This will be an evolving role with some core responsibilities including:
Facilitating internal project kick off meetings;
Creating and maintaining project schedules and managing change order processes;
Creating requirements documents, functional specifications and change orders;
Tracking the progress and quality of work being performed;
Communicating ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude in others;
Keeping others informed about project statuses and issues that may impact client relations;
Assisting with creating detailed work plans and schedules which identify the sequences of the activities needed to successfully complete projects;
Evaluating the outcomes of projects and present findings in summary reports;
Managing multiple complex projects simultaneously with cross-functional groups;
Ensure adherence to corporate culture, policies and procedures;
Communicate pertinent project details, both technical and non-technical to all interested parties and escalate issues that threaten project goals and timelines to the proper representative for resolution.
Position Requirements:
Previous experience in project administration or management;
A background in operations would be considered an asset;
Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively with others;
Effective oral and written communication skills;
Effective project management and relationship building skills;
Ability to work with limited direction once being brought up to speed;
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
Good general understanding of common web technologies and the ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly.
Location
This position is available in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Salary
The annual salary for this position is $40,000 – $50,000 in accordance with skills and experience.
Compensation also includes a subsidized gym membership program, a subsidized benefits package, and a Group RRSP program.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours) during normal working hours, occasional nights and weekends may be required.
