Essential Job Functions Include:
Working with an existing team to implement cutting-edge programs to increase the deployment of zero-emission vehicles and other sustainable transportation options
Facilitating existing partnerships and developing new partnerships with government, utilities, industry, academic institutions and non-government organizations to leverage their impact in deployment of sustainable transportation
Developing strategies for communicating to key audiences and prospective program participants
Making use of digital and collaboration tools to reach new audiences and efficiently deliver programs
Managing and developing a team of skilled and motivated change-makers in the sustainable transportation space
Strengthening financial support for the sustainable transportation program by identifying and securing new revenue streams
Representing the program to both internal and external stakeholders, and
Incorporating Indigenous reconciliation within program initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications and Requirements:
Strong management skills, with demonstrated experience in managing diverse teams and tracking project milestones
Strong interpersonal skills in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Exceptional and diverse communications skills
Familiarity with clean energy and energy-efficient technologies and policies (Note: specific policy and/or technical knowledge of electric vehicles and charging infrastructure would be an asset)
Existing relationships in government, private sector and civil society, ideally in the sustainable transportation sector
High motivation to bring positive change in the transportation sector to mitigate against climate change, along with an ability and track record at facilitating collaboration among diverse stakeholders
Familiarity with financial management using standard business tools
Proficiency in business writing skills, contact management systems, general office procedures and financial calculations
Enjoyment working in a dynamic team environment
At least five years of recent related experience, and
University/college degree in community, regional, land use or environmental planning; resource and environmental management; geography; business administration and/or expertise as relevant to the position.
