About the role
We are looking for someone who can confidently and creatively lead CRED into its next phase. You will work together with our Project Coordinator and a team of advisors, trustees and talented freelancers to execute CRED’s vision, producing high-quality and relevant research, collaborative events, and engaging publications. You are the person who drives the project forward and ensures its success. On a day-to-day basis, you will move seamlessly from overseeing research reports to speaking at public events to raising funds to grow our capacity.
This is a contract role for 3 days a week for an initial six-month period, with the potential to become full-time. Although it is freelance, there is an option to locate in the same co-working space as the Project Coordinator. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
More about us
Conversations for Responsible Economic Development (CRED) is a not-for-profit business research and advocacy organization based in Vancouver, B.C. We are an association of academics, professionals and BC business leaders interested in a fact-based conversation around energy development and opportunities for long-term prosperity on BC’s West Coast. CRED is fiercely pro-business and pro-economic development. Our focus is on sharing facts and original research – backed up by reliable data – on BC economic issues, speaking to the need to protect our regional economy from threats, and promoting and advocating for economic sectors that leverage BC’s creativity, innovation and natural beauty.
Two years after founding, we are well established and ready to scale up and widen our analysis to include more sectors that are driving forces of BC’s economy. This year, we are focusing on solutions-based research and greater communications around key issues that will inspire conversations and shape the future of our province.
