The District of Saanich is seeking Program Attendants (Weight Room Supervisors) who will be responsible for facilitating recreational activities and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants in recreation programs at each of our four recreation centres. The successful candidates will provide advice, information and assistance in the weight room and ensure that participants are acting in accordance to the facility rules and that the facility and equipment are in safe, working condition. Requirements include completion of Grade 10; one month experience in in related activity; satisfactory police information check; Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C as required. In addition, candidates must possess one of the following: BCRPA Certification in theory and weight training; Can Fit Pro; National Strength Training Association Certification; Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including evenings and weekends depending on program registration.
