We are currently seeking a hardworking, dynamic and motivated individual to add to our team who has a strong passion for people and the environment. Our approach is always collaborative and team oriented. In this stimulating role of Outreach and Sales Coordinator you will report to the Program Manager – Energy.
The Outreach & Sales Coordinator is primarily responsible for recruiting participants and clients for the HomeWarming program.The main objective is to identify and recruit approximately 1,850 participants (750 electric heated homes, 1100 non-electric homes) per year in the province of Nova Scotia. Additional duties may include outreach, promotion and support of other Clean programs.
Specific Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities):
Research residential sector and municipalities to develop an outreach campaign to reach targets for HomeWarming intake;
Develop and implement outreach program to develop a pipeline of participants for the HomeWarming program;
Work with the HomeWarming team to ensure integration of participant locations with operational requirements;
Work closely with and coordinate with various low income advisory Committees in order to open doors to the community;
Develop materials, information packages and sales tools for the solicitation of program applications from eligible homeowners;
Develop pitch presentations and materials;
Coordinate and deliver information and sales pitches, with appropriate staff or volunteer in attendance when required;
Build effective partnerships increasing public awareness of the HomeWarming program;
Attend conferences, seminars and meetings as requested to facilitate the promotion of the HomeWarming program;
Safe guard company property. Report any incidents of theft or misappropriation or unauthorized possession of company property;
Public speaking;
Keeping up to date with legislation and policy related to volunteering and making any necessary modifications to accommodate changes;
Assist with writing funding proposals and reports;
Ensure proper delivery of the human resources and safety policies, procedures and practices of the organization;
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or post-secondary education in Public Relations, Marketing or Sales;
Two [2] – Five [5] years’ experience of outreach and sales;
Experience in working with diverse stakeholders;
Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal;
Experience with public speaking;
Should have a strong sense of empathy and be able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism;
Proficient with computer applications such as; MS Office Suite, Internet and Outlook;
Must be a Canadian citizen or legally entitled to work in Canada;
Must demonstrate a passion for the environment;
Experience dealing with opposing worldviews and/or conflict management considered an asset;
Must be able to complete and pass a criminal background check;
Must be able to provide a Driver’s Abstract from the Registry of Motor Vehicle;
Must have a valid Canadian driver’s license and personal vehicle;
Must maintain valid First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certification;
Must demonstrate a passion for the environment;
Experience working in the non-profit sector is considered an asset.
