We specialize in planning and managing the redistribution of surplus corporate assets like office furniture and equipment, keeping them out of landfills through resale, recycling, and donation. We also assist clients in communicating the positive environmental and social impact of these projects through reporting and PR.We’re working with Fortune 500 companies to change the way they perceive waste, and disrupting an industry in the process. THE GOAL OF THIS POSITION is to improve and maintain Green Standard’s operational performance by working closely with director of operations, managing a challenging project stream, and working towards continual process improvement.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and manage ongoing stream of projects of varying size and complexity
Supervise the team of 4 Project Managers / Coordinators
Develop and maintain relationships with various clients, vendors and partners
Assign internal resources and personnel to various projects and tasks
Set project milestones and meet them
Analyze project needs and specification
Track and record quality assurance, performance of operational processes
Support sales in developing winning proposals
Create project reports that document environmental and social impact
Report to executive team on operations performance, environmental and social metrics
Troubleshoot and respond to operations problems
Motivate, coach and lead operations team through education and example
Manage strategic relationships with non-profits, logistics providers and resellers
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
Deliver on project expectations (on time, on budget, to specification)
Sustain company-wide Landfill diversion rate of 98%
Measure and improve satisfaction and quality of service for all donations to maximize community impact
REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of management experience, preferably in an operations role
Proven track record of improving and sustaining organizational processes
Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of project management principles and best practices
Competency with Excel 2010, Google Docs, Microsoft Office, Outlook
Motivated self-starter and team player
ASSETS:
Experience working in small business
Sales or customer service experience
Proficiency with Contact Relationship Management (CRM) software
PMI Certification (CAPM, PMP)
IT/Office management experience
Post-secondary education in related field (environmental studies, project management, business administration, etc.)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This is a highly ‘incentive-oriented’ position and workplace.
$35,000 base salary
+ $10,000 in earned incentives
