Our Client located in Estevan, Saskatchewan has asked us to assist them in their search for an Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:
• Direct the development and implementation of short and long-range mine planning to ensure safe and efficient operations in conjunction with budget objectives.
• Prepare annual capital and operating budgets.
Accountable for ensuring that the changes in environment and safety legislation, regulations, policies and guidelines are current at the mine site.
• Foster teamwork at the mine site through communication and effective performance management.
• Establish a positive working environment by conducting and participating in activities that contribute to an effective working relationship with all employees.
• Promote teamwork and employee development at all levels of the operation through communication, monitoring and revision of performance standards.

Qualifications:
• P. Eng. designation in Mining, Civil or Geological Engineering.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Possess an understanding of various mine planning software and engineering tools.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with mine operations and customers.
• Be a highly motivated self-starter, possessing good interpersonal and organizational skills.
