RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Manager leads all aspects of the day-to-day operations of Food Stash Foundation, including but not limited to;
In collaboration with the Executive Director, manages and grows incoming food supply
Works closely with Program Coordinator to ensure food supply matches the target number of families per quarter
Increases food supply to meet both Food Box Program needs and growing charity needs
Manages partner relationships with current and potential food suppliers and charities
Meet regularly with store managers from current prospective suppliers to support the growth of our programming
Foster open communication lines with partners to establish positive connections
Manages and grows volunteers
Ensure appropriate number of volunteers are recruited and scheduled to meet the needs of our programming (drivers, volunteers, and Food Connections volunteers)
Create onboarding packages for specific volunteer roles in collaboration with the Program Coordinator
Oversees staff
Provide guidance and feedback to staff on an as needed basis
Create and dispatch daily routes to drivers and respond to any questions or concerns
Collaborate with Program Coordinator and provide support as needed
Provide staff relief as needed
In collaboration with the Executive Director, manage and track impact stats of programming (weight of food), information and other metrics from food running programs to be used in subsequent Impact Reports

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge required to perform duties:
Proficient with computers and tech savvy
Ability to work with systems such as social media and accounting software
Knowledge and ability to handle bookkeeping, payroll, petty cash and able to create reports
Skills and abilities required to perform duties:
Self-motivated, passionate, results-oriented and excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to organize and prioritize a large variety of tasks and variable workload and competency with handling the pressure of multiple tasks and timelines
The ability to work independently as well as part of a cohesive team
Emphasizes creative, collaborative, and positive solutions to any challenges that arise.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
3+ years’ professional experience in a similar capacity
Experience working with vulnerable populations
Non-profit and/or charity sector experience an asset
Valid BC Drivers License required
Offer of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory criminal record check and driver abstract
