Mama Mundo Inc. (MMI) is seeking candidates for a full-time Office Manager to oversee all aspects of daily operations for its core business lines: Life Without Plastic (lifewithoutplastic.com) and Eco Natural Exchange (econaturalexchange.com).
Life Without Plastic (LWP) is the leading online one-stop ecommerce retail store for safe, high quality, ethically-sourced, and Earth-friendly alternatives to plastic products for everyday life. LWP is committed to education and advocacy on the plastics issue – especially regarding the health and environmental impacts of plastics – and acts as a hub for information on plastic and plastic alternatives, while also offering ways for anybody to take action to reduce their plastic footprint on Earth. The wholesale distribution arm, LifeWithoutPlastic Wholesale (formerly Sanctus Mundo), supplies a growing list of eco-oriented retail stores throughout North America and Europe with non-plastic products.
Eco Natural Exchange (ENE) is a recently launched comprehensive online ecommerce marketplace platform where suppliers of eco-friendly natural products and retailers in the United States meet to supply and sell.

The Position:
The Office Manager will be responsible for ensuring all daily operations and processes run smoothly. You will work closely with the two founder owner-managers as well as key off-site administrative and warehouse staff.
The position will involve the following core tasks:
Customer Service – Responding to customer service requests by telephone and email; managing other customer service staff.
Inventory Management – Keeping close tabs on inventory levels; updating inventory databases; ordering new stock (creating purchase orders and liaising with vendors and our offsite warehouse).
Marketing & Outreach – Assisting with graphic design and creative copy for marketing campaigns (online and social media ads, regular e-mail newsletters, surveys, press releases); crafting and implementing social media campaigns and posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest (and possibly other platforms); promoting our affiliate program and finding new affiliates; managing product promotions for online and live events; monitoring key forums/discussion groups/blogs on health and environmental issues in our niche to provide comments and links to our products and resources, and run promotions (reviews, giveaways); assisting with joint initiatives with our many partners (corporate and NGO).
Web Content Creation – Product descriptions, plastic and plastic information research and updates; photographs and graphics; implementing Search Engine Optimization tools.
Administration – Overall office organizing; basic bookkeeping; filing; creating and updating processes; managing offsite administrative and customer service staff; packing and shipping exceptional orders (most orders ship from our main offsite warehouse); reporting regularly to management.
The Ideal Candidate:

Basic awareness of the plastics issue.*
Excellent spoken and written English and French skills – ability to write clearly, succinctly, creatively and persuasively (but sensitively, with an emphasis on helping, not blatant selling).*
Graphic design skills and experience using Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator).*
Experience in office management, customer service, inventory management, marketing, content creation.
Extremely organized, meticulous and detail-oriented, but able to see the big picture, and possessing excellent follow-through on tasks.*
Creative, open-minded, versatile, fast learner – willing to take initiative, think and act proactively to solve problems and assess priorities, and manage a wide variety of tasks calmly and effectively.*
Solid team contributor and able to work independently with little supervision – but knowing when to ask for guidance and assistance.*
Tech saavy and has the ability to adapt to and implement new processes and software.* Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and Google Analytics.
Comfortable with social media platforms and monitoring new developments and platforms.*
Experience with WordPress, Magento, Quickbooks.
Photography skills.
A degree from a recognized college or university.*
Likes to laugh and have fun – a positive, success-oriented, cup half full person!*
Location:
Gatineau, Quebec (must live in the region and be available to work at our National Capital Region office – sorry no telecommuting possibilities at this time).
