SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Director of Clinical Services and as a member of the Clinical Services Team – participates in planning, directing, coordinating and evaluating patient care activities in the unit(s) in accordance with established philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures and standards where applicable.
The incumbent must fulfill the requirements of the Criminal Records/ Vulnerable Person, Child Abuse Registry check and Adult Abuse Registry check, and adhere to all Northern Health Region (NHR) policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from a recognized university
Eligible for or possesses current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
Recognized post basic training/ C.N.A. certification in the related area(s)
Current BLS Heart and Stroke Healthcare Provider (c) certification, maintenance of certification required
Minimum of three (3) years recent experience in areas of responsibility and related fields
Experience in a supervisory capacity with demonstrated leadership skills
Knowledge of computer systems, word processing and e-mail applications
Demonstrates leadership skills
Conflict resolution skills
Ability to display independent judgment; work with minimal supervision
Demonstrates interpersonal skills through clear communication and positive behavior within the Respectful Workplace Policy
Satisfactory employment record required
