Neighbourhood Network Developer “Community Food Liaison – Collingwood Neighbourhood House

JOB OVERVIEW
In close collaboration with the Food Security Coordinator and the Community Development Team, the Community Food Liaison works to develop empowered relationships and intercultural connections between people and community organizations in Renfrew-Collingwood. The work focuses primarily on (but is not limited to) cooking, food growing, and food sharing as ways to foster community development, learning, and leadership. These activities aim to leverage the social, economic, and emotional dimensions of food to increase opportunities for belonging and inclusion for all residents. This is a non-unionized coordinator level, permanent staff position.
We encourage applicants with lived experience of structural inequity to apply, and in particular those who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or people of colour. We recognize that structural inequity can be a barrier to developing many of the skills listed in the qualification section. If you would like to apply for this job, but feel concerned that you may not yet have all of the qualifications, we encourage you to outline your gaps in skills/experience in your cover letter and what support you would require to gain the skills. We will do our best to provide ongoing support and mentorship to ensure applicant success. We recognize that lived experience is an asset in and of itself.
