MedMira is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technologist to be a part of its Halifax, Nova Scotia team. This role focuses on the production of the Company’s current and future high quality products in line with standard operating procedures, ensuring that MedMira’s governing internal specifications are consistently met, meeting regulatory approval requirements in various markets around the globe.
The Manufacturing Technologist will have a strong attention to detail while working independently to meet daily production goals and maintaining top quality work. Demonstration of good laboratory practices and skills are essential while performing all laboratory duties. The ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific, technical, and equipment documentation and instructions is required and it is expected that recommendations for continual improvement measures for processes and procedures are derived from the Technologist’s daily work.
An undergraduate degree in chemistry, biology or biochemistry along with 1-2 years’ experience in a laboratory setting and/or a highly regulated manufacturing environment is desired for this role. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Core Competencies:
Experience working with laboratory equipment. Experience in use of a lyophilizer and immunoprinting equipment is considered an asset
Experience working within an ISO certified Quality System and cGMP guidelines
A high level of organization with attention to detail, strong problem solving skills, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven success in performing on teams with diverse skills skill sets
