On behalf of our client, located in Greater Vancouver (BC) area, a leading worldwide provider of security solutions is looking for a hands-on leader with Lean manufacturing experience to manage an engaged manufacturing engineering team.

Responsibilities:

Ensure correct production process is used to guarantee the quality of the products
Executes PFMEA and DOE as required to ensure proper process implementation and optimization
Support the product development team in the development of new products
Lead and manage team members
Coordinate the implementation of Lean manufacturing in consultation with the Continuous Improvement Leader. Resulting in operational cost reduction, labor savings, and improved returns and practices

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or other similar related background
5+ years experience in managing a team of engineers
Proven experience with ERP and PLM systems
Preferred knowledge in Lean/6 Sigma Black or Green Belt certification
Basic project management principles and practices
Proven continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing implementation experience
Able to work in a team with all levels of employees
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience working with SAP
Project Management certification
