Summary
The Health Products Stewardship Association (HPSA) operates returns programs that are an easy and safe way to dispose of unwanted medications and medical sharps that we all have in our homes. HPSA is seeking a Full-Time Manager, Stewardship Programs & Operations to join our hybrid work team. The position can be based in either Ontario or Quebec.
Reports to: Director, Stewardship Programs

POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Stewardship Programs & Operations at HPSA is responsible for the successful delivery of the Medication Return Programs and the Sharp Collection Programs thus ensuring HPSA’s compliance with EPR regulations. This responsibility includes service providers and vendors oversight, government reporting, collection locations sites support as well as communication strategy development. The Manager collaborates with the customer service, data and analytic and communication team. This position reports to the Director, Stewardship Programs.

What will you do?
Program Operations
Develop and implement a contract management strategy for HPSA
Ensure continuous operational effectiveness utilizing contracts with third party vendors
Manage the day-to-day operational activities related to each of the program delivery (logistic, inventory, orders)
Program Compliance/Reporting
Compile and Review Quarterly and Annual Collection Reports of the Stewardship Programs
Ensure compliance with assigned provincial targets
Ensure timely submission of the Provincial Annual Reports
Program Development and Launch
Manage the successful development and implementation of new Stewardship programs
IT/Data/Analytics
Proactively generate incisive data reports that would aid better decision making
Proactively look for trends, patterns and /or anomalies in the data generated that would lead to streamlined operations and better compliance with HPSA SOPs.
Communication/Promotion and Education
Actively participate in the communication plans and provincial market strategies, with a focus on awareness building – ensuring plans meet KPIs, regulatory requirements and commitments
Stakeholders’ Engagement
Manage the development and implementation of project-specific engagement plan, strategies, key messages geared toward increasing HPSA’s visibility and value add.
Develop, grow and nurture relationships with relevant stakeholders, including industry and professional associations, provincial government and related agencies including stewardship groups and healthcare professionals.

Skills and Experience
Qualified candidates will:
At minimum, have a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
Have at least five years of experience in a management role in stewardship organizations, distribution, collection, recycling or logistics operations.
This should be ideally coupled with knowledge of regulated and stewardship entities and experience in government relations and partnerships.
Have superb written, verbal and listening communication skills.
Possess strong skills in business office and group collaboration tools.
Be an achievement oriented team player.
Be comfortable working with change and building the business case from the ground up.
Have solid Project Management skills.
Possess and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills/ effective networker; comfortable at all levels of interaction.
Be a critical thinker and have advanced problem-solving skills.
Be prepared travel and comfortable working in hybrid work environment.
Fluent in both official languages (English & French) would be an asset.
