As an integral member of the Senior Management Team at BresoTec Inc. the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing is in charge of and responsible for  the global launching of the Company’s first product, BresoDx (a medical device to diagnose sleep apnea).

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

This position is being offered as a full time, permanent position, with a probation period of six months.  Compensation for this position includes a base salary between $175,000 – $250,000 CAD per annum, depending on the experience of the selected candidate, incentive bonus of $25,000 CAD, benefits, and a moving and transition allowance of up to $40,000 CAD.  The incumbent is also eligible for a performance-based cash and/or equity incentive commensurate with qualifications and experience.  This position will be primarily based out of BresoTec Inc’s head office in Toronto, although extensive travel is expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE:

The Chief Operating Officer and Vice-President Global Sales and Marketing (COO/VP) Reports to the CEO.
Directly manages the worldwide launching and delivery of BresoTec’s global sales and marketing efforts and operations. The scope includes the strategy, design and implementation of the entire scope of the BresoTec sales and marketing function.
Responsible for setting and directing overall policy for key international distributor and channel relations. The COO/VP sets direction for all BresoTec sales metrics, budgets and forecasts. The COO/VP participates as a key member of the senior management team in developing and driving overall corporate strategy.
Responsible for establishing relationships with all international regulatory bodies, developing strategies for relevant regulatory approvals in all jurisdictions, and engaging health organizations, sleep centres, businesses, governments and physicians around the world to embrace BresoTec’s products.
Responsible for all logistics and fulfillment to customers worldwide.
Is a key protector, defender and evangelist of the corporate brand. Also responsible for the customer experience.
Works as a key member of the BresoTec senior management team, setting corporate strategy and leading the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE / BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE

At least a Baccalaureate Degree in Commerce, Sales & Marketing or a related field.  (Master Degree and PhD in addition to a Business Degree a bonus but not an absolute requirement).
10+ years experience successfully managing an international sales force in the medical device or related field, including hiring, training, and practicing performance management principles.
Specific experience with marketing medical devices, developing pricing strategy and, specifically, launching new products in global markets. (Preference given to experience related to sleep apnea and related medical conditions including diabetes and obesity).
Experience in commercializing medical devices or pharmaceuticals on a global scale. Specific experience in Europe, Brazil and China required.
Experience with health care delivery systems internationally.
Flexibility to travel at least 50% of the time.

TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

Ability to think at both a strategic business level and a tactical level.
Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe products and E-mail.
Results-oriented with demonstrated business skills related to goal setting, budgeting, reporting, and analytical abilities to assess and interpret results.

Communication / PRESENTATION skills

A highly effective and persuasive presenter with charismatic & articulate speaking and presentation skills.
Fluency in English and French, and proficiency in other major languages such as German, Portuguese, Dutch, Chinese and other languages are key attributes.
