Reporting directly to the Director of Recreation & Culture, this position is responsible for:

Developing a new parks division in East Hants
Overseeing open space negotiations and agreements, parks, trails and active transportation planning, park development and maintenance
Project and contract management
Park areas which focus on tourist operations

Qualifications:

Completion of a Degree in Planning, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Arboriculture or acceptable equivalent
A minimum of 3 years related experience including 1 year in a management or supervisory role
The ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation/facilitations skills
Strong contract/project management and negotiation skills

The salary range for this position is $49,373 to $61,716.
