We are inviting applications for the position of Manager, Female Hockey.
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Hockey Operations, the Manager, Female Hockey will build and execute on a plan to grow Female Hockey. The Manager works within a team environment, and leads female hockey in Alberta by providing quality programs and service, leading grassroots initiatives, and liaising with Local Minor Hockey Associations and Leagues. Primarily working alongside volunteers within Hockey Alberta, LMHAs and Leagues, the Manager will lead in providing administration and support to programs that focus on female hockey.

Job Description
The Manager, Female Hockey is involved in planning and implementing various initiatives related to female hockey, with the following specific areas of focus:
Manage Female Hockey
Develop and lead the plan for growing female hockey in Alberta
Execute on actions for recruitment and retention of coaches and players
Execute on a promotional strategy for female hockey
Lead Female Hockey Development Initiatives
Coordinate player development initiatives
Execute on coach development strategies and initiatives
Lead Female Officiating Development Initiatives
Provide support to female officiating development
Coordinate logistics for officiating development programs
Lead Female Committees
Lead Minor and Elite Female committees
Apply and/interpret Hockey Alberta Regulations
Provide guidance/support to Local Minor Hockey Associations and Leagues
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Kinesiology, Sport Administration or Recreation, or possess an equivalent combination of training, experience and/or education.
Self-starter, possessing strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to handle numerous tasks with tight deadlines effectively.
Computer literacy.
Ability to work with and lead volunteers.
General knowledge of hockey is essential.
Past experience working on or coordinating programs or events will be considered an asset.
Salary and benefits are based on the Hockey Alberta Compensation Policy and Principles relative to the successful applicant’s education and experience. This position requires travel, evening and weekend work.
