Applications are invited for Casual Junior Leaders in the Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department. The Junior Leaders will assist the Senior Leader in planning, developing, promoting, implementing, executing, and evaluating week-long, theme related day camps for children. The casual assignments will start on June 26, 2017 and will conclude on September 1, 2017.

RATE OF PAY: Junior Leader: $20.85 to $21.06 (2015 C.U.P.E Rate)
HOURS OF WORK: Up to 40 hours per week
The programs run Monday to Friday
Start and end times depend on programming, for example:
7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Casual employees are paid 12% of their regular earnings in lieu of benefits and paid annual vacation.

Successful candidates will have strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills. These positions are funded through the Canada Summer Grant Program which requires registration as a full-time student in the previous academic year, intention to return to school on a full-time basis the next academic year, 15 to 30 years of age, and legal entitlement to work in Canada. Enrollment in a child related program or completion of a similar program is preferred. A valid Standard First Aid Certificate is required.
