Human Resources Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Human Resources professional as the lead in building strategic human resources services to support the achievement of corporate and operational goals while fostering a work environment where employees are engaged and aligned with organizational objectives.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the ideal candidate will serve as a key advisor to the District’s senior management team and provide consultative support and direction to managers and staff throughout the organization on a wide range of human resource functions such as employee and labour relations, recruitment and selection, compensation and job evaluation, training and development, conflict resolution and policy development.

The successful candidate will have a post-graduate degree in Human Resource Management with a minimum of five years progressively more responsible experience, preferably in a local government setting with extensive experience in labour relations including collective agreement administration, grievance handling, and collective bargaining. A CHRP designation is preferred.
