Human Resources Co-Ordinator (Maternity Leave) – Provincial Airlines – St. John’s

Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator provides support to all managers and personnel in all human resources functional areas including recruitment and selection, benefits administration, employee relations, development and implementation of Human Resources processes/programs and training.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide instruction and guidance to management on issues, policy interpretation and implementing policies/procedures
Maintain all records for new hires, terminations, and changes to personal information for current employees
Compile data, statistics, and other research
Complete weekly HR reports including vacant positions, filled positions, divisional turnover, company turnover, new hires, and other activities
Develop job postings and advertising. Post vacancies and recruitment information
Receive, sort and file resumes and applications for vacancies that are currently advertised
Maintain records of all requisitions, advertising, and recruitment transactions
Prepare application, vacancy, and job fair materials; ensures materials are available for visitors; send materials to applicants as requested
Recruitment efforts by performing interviews, screenings, and recruitment for entry level, professional and technical job openings
Prepare materials for new hires and conduct new hire orientation
Policy writing and research
Conduct Exit Interviews
Assist with payroll and benefits administration as required
Draft forms, letters, reports, and memos as necessary
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Post-secondary diploma/Degree with a concentration in Human Resources
Work experience in recruitment preferred
Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
Excellent typing skills, including proper spelling and grammar
Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
Attention to detail in all areas of work
