With 20,000 residential customers and contracts with the TTC, Hilton Hotels, Honeywell, and City of Toronto we are the fastest expanding property maintenance company based in the Toronto area and are looking to hire a Human Resource Coordinator!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure all administrative employees are fulfilling their duties
Maintain organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
Data entry for new employees
Terminate employees
Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Investigate any workplace violence and harassment concerns
Establish and conduct orientation and training programs
Prepare administrative employee’s payroll and submit to accountant on time
Maintain employee benefits
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and provincial requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
Filing all human resource records
Counsel and discipline employees through monitoring job results
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Education in Human Resources Management
Highly Desired:
Previous experience with: Hiring, Human Resources Management, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Employment Law
Joint Health and Safety Committee certification
