Position:
Part time, admin and development assistant (22 hours / week)

Overview:
This multifaceted position provides support to development, admissions and business administration personnel.
Duties for supporting development initiatives include tracking contributions, preparing and managing mailing lists, assisting with event planning, engaging with potential donors, and ensuring timely acknowledgment of contributions. Support the business administrator in preparing progress reports and drafting proposals.
With the support of the Program Director and Quality Care Coordinator, the selected candidate will assist with intermittent residential and day program Companion, Coworker, Volunteer and Staff admissions. Admissions support includes maintaining admissions guidelines and the upkeep of H/R files.
This candidate will provide ongoing and diverse office support services by implementing and maintaining administrative systems, procedures, and policies; while monitoring tasks and projects.

Job Duties:
Support and maintain relations with donors and clients.
Support development strategies.
Build and maintain client and donor database.
Create and maintain development calendars.
Support and participate in fundraising and event planning efforts.
Enhance overall development initiatives.
Maintain admission guidelines by writing, updating, and recommending changes to admission criteria, policies and procedures.
With support of the Program Director and Quality Care Coordinator – markets programs and facilities by preparing and providing informational brochures and advertisements.
Supports the Program Director and Quality Care Coordinator with companion admissions processes, including associated administration.
Prepares admissions reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Supporting safety by ensuring safety policies, procedures, and regulations are followed.
Protects Association and Companion privacy by keeping information confidential.
Together with the Director of Programming and Quality Care Coordinator – posts, manages, and screens staff, coworkers & volunteer applications.
Maintains companion staff, coworkers, volunteer administrative files.
Manages and maintains staff, coworkers & volunteer criminal record checks, workers compensation data and benefits coverage.
Implement and monitor programs as directed and see the programs through to completion.
Generate memos, emails and reports as requested.
Answer incoming calls.
Supports Business Administrator in preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
Contributes to team effort in a spirit of collaboration and engagement.

Qualifications:
University or college degree or diploma preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
Experience with database management
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to balance efficiency and thoroughness in all tasks and to maintain a fast work pace.
Highly self-motivated, positive attitude, adaptable, organized
Ability to work calmly, prioritize tasks, and complete them under tight deadlines
Experience working with persons of diverse-abilities and/or vulnerable persons
Knowledge / experience with Camphill Communities / Anthroposophy is an asset
Must submit to a Criminal Record Check
Terms:
Hours: 22 hrs/week
Wage: $20/hr
