Gordon Head Recreation Centre is seeking multiple Facility Operations and Recreation Labourers who will be responsible for a variety of manual maintenance tasks during the building’s annual shutdown. This includes cleaning and scrubbing different components of the building, stripping and waxing, tiling and grouting, power washing interior and exterior surfaces; and heavy lifting of equipment and supplies. Requirements include: completion of Grade 10; one month related work experience; sufficient physical strength, stamina and coordination to permit performance of heavy manual work; satisfactory police information check and possession of WHIMIS certificate. The successful candidates will also be required to work varying shifts including daytime and afternoons with full time hours (37.5 hours per week) from June 19-30, 2017.
