Position Overview: This is the ideal career opportunity for someone who is seeking to make meaningful and direct impacts in the community through the use of their project management, planning and building Construction skills. You will have the opportunity to further develop your strong relationship building and leadership skills as you collaborate with many talented people. This position will provide you with autonomy, as you will be required to take the lead on a diversity of projects with minimal supervision. This role will be assigned many high priority projects, so the successful applicant will have the opportunity to make a valuable contribution to the organization and lead projects through to completion. As you seek to tackle this diverse portfolio of challenging projects, you will have the opportunity to build upon your project management skills in many areas of asset management such as; building maintenance, sustainable construction, capital planning and analysis, procurement, managing consulting/contractor services, overseeing the asset management registry and inventory databases, managing budgets and grant In addition, you will be able to cultivate your leadership skills as you consult, advise and seek to build strong partnerships with outside stakeholders and internal business units to ensure the right people are involved in seeing these important projects through to successful completion. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative problem solver and strategic thinker who thrives on managing a diverse portfolio of technical and detailed projects. To be the best fit for this position, you have a genuine interest and extensive experience with project management, building construction, life cycling and maintenance, budgets and grant administration. With 5+ years of related experience, you have developed excellent detail orientation and administration skills, you are not afraid to tackle challenging and complex technical projects, provide advice, and complete reports and recommendations to senior management. You will have the opportunity to further develop your exceptional analytical, organizational and written communication skills with the diverse projects you will lead. Post-secondary education in a related field such as project management, architectural technology or engineering, (PMP) Project Management Professional Certification, WHMIS and First Aid Certifications are also required. Exceptional organizational habits, the ability to set and meet realistic deadlines and strong analytical and problem solving skills will help you to be successful in this role.
